Product Description
Hume Body Pod 2.0: Know what your body is made of
Your weight tells you one number. The Hume Body Pod 2.0 shows you what’s behind it.
The Body Pod 2.0 uses 8-frequency bioelectrical impedance (BIA) through its footplates and a handheld sensor. Together they measure your whole body, segment by segment. Each scan gives you dozens of body-composition metrics, including muscle and fat mass for each arm, leg and your trunk, visceral fat, hydration and estimated bone mass. It also records your heart rate with every scan, which the first version didn’t do.
More than a scale: a connected health system
Every scan goes into Hume HealthOS, where it sits alongside your sleep, activity, recovery, heart health and nutrition data. Hume AI connects those signals and explains what’s changing and why, so you get guidance as well as numbers. Your digital twin, a 3D model of your body, updates as your composition shifts. It lets you see your progress instead of guessing at it.
Who it’s for
It suits anyone building muscle, losing fat or taking their long-term health seriously. Use it when you want more than a number on a scale.
The Body Pod 2.0 is a wellness device, not a medical device.

Your Hume 2.0 Body Pod Questions Answered
What is the difference between Pod 1.0 and 2.0?
Redesigned. Inside and out.
Pod 2.0 has a clean new look, with sculpted metal sensors that follow the shape of your feet and a display that stays hidden until you step on. Choose matte black with graphite sensors or bright white with brushed steel. Either way, it's a scale you'll want to leave out.
Solid metal sensors. Built to measure the same way for years.
Coated sensors can wear thin. Pod 2.0's metal base keeps your contact, and your readings, consistent.
Smarter algorithm. Sharper readings.
Pod 2.0 runs on a class of algorithm trusted in aerospace and navigation, where precision isn't optional.
Checks before it measures
Pod 2.0 confirms your feet are making solid contact before it takes a reading, so every result starts from a clean signal.
Reads every body, not just the average one
Every body is different. Skin gets drier with age, active feet get tougher, and no two people stand the same way. Most smart scales are designed for an "average" user and can struggle with everyone else. Pod 2.0's sensor surface is designed to maximise contact with your feet, giving the signal a stronger connection whoever steps on, from the marathoner to their grandmother.
No interference. Just you.
Inside every smart scale, the display, Wi-Fi chip and sensors all give off tiny electrical signals, and those signals can get mixed into your reading. Most smart scales don't do much about it. Pod 2.0 shields each component from the others, so the only thing it measures is you. The result is cleaner, more consistent readings, every time you step on.
Come in both black & white
Pod 2.0 comes in two clean finishes designed to suit any bathroom, whether your style is bright and minimal or dark and bold.
What can I track?
Understand Your True Body Composition (Muscle vs. Fat)
If you've been dieting for weeks but the scale won't budge, our body composition analysis shows what's really happening inside your body.
The Hume Pod 2.0 distinguishes between fat loss, muscle gain, and water fluctuations, so you know whether your efforts are working or if you need to adjust your approach.
- Body fat tracking shows if you're burning fat or just losing water that comes right back.
- Muscle mass measurement reveals muscle gain or weight loss even when total weight stays flat.
- Water analysis identifies bloating and retention masking your real progress.
- Visceral fat monitoring tracks the dangerous fat around your organs that you can't see.
Track What Actually Matters for Long-Term Health
Your scale weight tells you nothing about the muscle loss that comes with aging, the dangerous visceral fat around your organs, or whether your bones are staying strong.
Our 8-Frequency sensors cover everything from bone health to hydration levels to give you helpful information when assessing your health.
See Your Progress and Health Trends
Connect your phone to the Hume Pod 2.0 and watch your body transform week-to-week and month-to-month. Our trend analysis filters out daily noise from water retention and meal timing to reveal your actual progress.
- Follow trend graphs that show changes in your body fat, muscle building, and visceral fat over weeks and months.
- Compare measurements from 3, 6, or 12 months ago to see transformations invisible day-to-day.
- Stay accountable with daily feedback that shows how your choices impact your body composition, keeping you consistent when motivation fades.
- Connect up to 24 devices to one Hume Pod 2.0 so everyone can track their individual health journeys.
Does the Hume 2.0 pod actually work?
Our award-winning body analyzer is built with clinical-grade technology that goes far beyond typical smart scales. In an independent study conducted by Socotech, it has been proven that Hume is +/- 2% from a DEXA scan.
- 8-Frequency Sensors scan multiple tissue layers to accurately measure fat, muscle, and water composition.
- Segmental Handle Measurement System directly scans your torso, arms, and legs - not just your lower body like standard smart scales.
- Dual-Point Contact Technology measures your entire body through both the base platform and hand sensors, delivering a gold standard in accuracy against other smart scales.
- Clinical Validation means our readings are independently tested and proven to match DEXA scan results within 2% for body fat percentage.
Can it be used by multiple users?
Yes! The Hume Pod 2.0 can connect to multiple accounts. Each user should log in with their own Hume Account for accurate tracking.
Like all Bluetooth devices, the Hume Pod 2.0 can only connect to one phone at a time. To weigh in, simply open your Hume Health App and step on the scale. However, if another paired user is nearby with their app open, they may need to close their app to free up the Hume Pod 2.0 connection for you.
How do I get the most accurate results?
Start your day with a morning weigh-in for consistent tracking, minimising daily fluctuations influenced by meals and fluids.
Try to keep the same time and place for your weigh-ins.
Remember: Weight can vary day to day and even hour to hour. It is important to focus on trends. By focusing on these trends you get a clearer picture of your progress and patterns.
Stay flexible. If you miss your usual time, don’t skip the day; just do it later.
